The River Dee Trust has pledged to plant one million native trees to help save endangered species, including our iconic wild salmon. The trees provide cooling shade against dangerously rising water temperatures, and nourish the whole ecosystem.

Restore & Protect

The Million Trees Project is well under way to meet that challenge. It involves the planting of willow, alder, aspen, rowan and Scots pine in some of our country’s most sensitive landscapes, under expert supervision.

This is expensive work, requiring funding from as many sources as possible to maintain momentum. If you would like to get involved, the River Dee Trust would be more than happy to explain how you could help.

Please contact, the River Dee’s Development and Promotions Officer. Visit River Dee for more information.
